While many have a preferred way to load up their dog, our WeVenture guides show our guests here how to have it Chicago style, with all the works. Like our friends in Philly, our Chicago guides have some pretty strong opinions on the best place for this iconic city staple.

Can you imagine what it must have felt like to be in the crowd on the day of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech? Or when Marian Anderson, in a moving and significant historic performance, sang out “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee”? Impressive in itself, the Memorial holds even more impressive stories.

Georgetown is a cute little city nestled in the Rocky Mountains, a short trip away from Denver and an escape from the noise and hustle of the city. Favorite activities of ours out here include an invigorating hike in the ponderosa pine forests, a trip up to the Continental Divide, and a fun ride on the Georgetown Loop train.

Did you know Huntington Beach has a 15.7-mile out-and-back trail that’s easy and accessible for anyone? And the options are plentiful: bicycles, tandem, electric, and surreys. Ride out late in the day to catch a beautiful California sunset over the sparkling ocean.

Everyone has their preferred way to drink coffee, often a connection with our cultural backgrounds and upbringing: drinking café cubano is a social and cultural activity in Cuba and holds strong in Cuban-American neighborhoods like that of Little Havana in Miami.

Jazz is a huge part of New Orleans history, with legendary music venues like Preservation Hall and Tipitina’s. For anyone wanting a deeper appreciation of jazz and its roots here, stop in at the New Orleans Jazz Museum to explore the African American inspiration and other cultural groups’ influence on this musical style.

Many visitors to NYC come to see the green lady in the harbor, but what really fascinates are the diverse neighborhoods of generations of immigrants who traveled to America and saw this symbol of hope. Places like the Lower East Side, Chinatown, Little Italy, and others contain their incredible stories and, of course, great food!

There are a lot of myths surrounding the Amish culture, like the complete rejection of electricity and technology in the community or extremely restrictive rights and rules of the group. What’s true is that the Amish families located just an hour and a half outside Philly are a hard-working, welcoming people.

Pike Place Market has been around since 1906, an incredible feat given the destruction of many historic and ailing buildings. What’s even more unique is that the market has remained so unchanged and still values having local vendors fill its stalls every day.

You can really feel the history in Downtown Vegas by stepping into some of the city’s oldest operating casinos, like the El Cortez, and imagining bigwigs like Bugsy Siegel and other mafia members having drinks and discussing the business of the day.
