A private tour with WeVenture Denver is always a completely custom itinerary, created just for you and your group! A private city walking tour of Denver can be from 2 hours – 10 hours, depending on the destination. While many visitors to the Mile-High City have specific sites they would like to see, many are happy to let our team create a custom itinerary that fits their interests, budget, mobility, and timeline. Typically, tours spend most of their time in and around Denver proper, but we welcome any ideas for your dream tour.

No two groups are alike and we will plan a trip tailored to your group’s interests, budget, and needs. Below are some sample itineraries to use as inspiration for your perfect tour:

Highlights Tour: A 2-3–hour walking tour of Denver can cover much of Lower Downtown (LoDo) and the Central Business District. The former area is home to the historic hub of downtown, the grand Union Station. Learn all about the history of the station as well as that of early Denver during the gold mining days that put the Mile-High City on the map.

From here, we can hop on and off a free bus (when operating) shuttling travelers and commuters alike along the 16th Street Mall. We’ll make our way from downtown’s historic brick buildings to the charming Larimer Square and the eloquent Brown Palace Hotel, a gorgeous hotel dating back to the late 1800s. Nearby, we’ll pose with the Big Blue Bear peeking into the glassy facade of the Colorado Convention Center before heading to the impressive Colorado State Capitol. Time your tour just right with us to be dropped off for one of the docent-led experiences inside the Capitol.

Half-Day Tour: This option (4-6 hours) will allow us to reach outlying neighborhoods including the River North (RiNo) Art District. To get there, we can take a leisurely walk through the Ballpark area, past Coors Field, home to Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies.

In RiNo, your local guide will show you the best of the neighborhood’s murals and graffiti art, with a background on the diverse artists, their stories, and techniques. As one of the trendiest areas of Denver, there are plenty of breweries, cideries, and wineries to include during or after your tour.

Downtown Denver is adjacent to another neighborhood where historic buildings abound. Enjoy a stroll on the leafy streets of Capitol Hill, dotted with grand mansions and museums, including the Molly Brown House & Museum and History Colorado Center.

Full-Day Tour: With a tour up to 10 hours, we can really show off the most and best of the city and cross off anything on your wish list while we’re at it. While walking between certain neighborhoods is feasible, we can also incorporate public transportation or ride shares to save time and exertion.

Your full-day experience with us will certainly include some stops for Denver’s best street eats and restaurants. In addition to the areas listed above, the Art District on Santa Fe is home to not only great art galleries and a strong cultural community but also a diverse food scene. Let your guide introduce you to culinary staples of Colorado, including the state’s claim to the best green chili dishes.

Among other walkable neighborhoods, the Lower Highlands (LoHi) is worth exploring for its top-rated restaurants, cafes and bars, and restored riverside parks with views of the city skyline. Admission to the many museums can be arranged with or without your guide, depending on the institution, including the Denver Art Museum, Denver Botanic Garden, Museum of Contemporary Art, and more.
