Private Philly Conservation Tour

A private tour with WeVenture Philadelphia is always a completely custom itinerary, created just for you and your group! A private Conservation Tour can be from 2 hours – 10 hours, depending on the destination. Pick-up and drop-off locations are the group’s choice. Your tour focusing on conservation in Philadelphia can showcase several aspects of promoting conservation in an urban environment, including potentially visiting urban wildlife sanctuaries, green buildings and rooftops, protected and rehabilitated city parks, fantastic breweries and restaurants, and programs and organizations encouraging the community to adopt more conservation-focused practices. In partnership with The GREEN Program (TGP), 10% of this sustainable Philadelphia tour proceeds will be donated to TGP’s scholarship fund to help disadvantaged and underserved students gain access to global sustainability education opportunities.

No two groups are alike, and we will plan a trip tailored to your group’s interests, budget, and needs. Below are some sample itineraries to use as inspiration for your perfect tour:

Highlights:

A tour designed to show you some of Philadelphia’s most popular spots that support and encourage conservation may include a visit to the always popular Fairmount Park, a stop for photos at the stunning Waterworks and discovering their hidden Mussel Hatchery, or an epic skyline view from the top of Cira Green. These 2- or 3-hour-long tours are usually limited to just a few short stops.

Half-Day Tour: A half-day tour allows more opportunity for you to take full advantage of being on a private tour. You’ll be able visit all of the locations mentioned on the Highlights Tour and have time to explore even more fantastic sites demonstrating conservation practices throughout the city. Check out the urban wildlife sanctuary at East Reservoir Discovery Center, grab a bite to eat from some epic local food trucks, find the hidden garden and biopond nestled in the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, or enjoy a local beer at Dock Street Brewery.

Full-Day Tour: A full-day tour gives you the chance to explore Conservation in Philadelphia to its fullest: spend as much time as you like at any of the previously mentioned stops, discover the nature sanctuary and beehives tucked into the well-known West Laurel Hill Cemetery, head across the Schuylkill River to West Philly to visit Bartram’s Garden, check out the incredibly cool Navy Yard, or take a spin through FDR Park in South Philly. You may also have time to stop at some other sights in Philadelphia – like Independence Mall, Love Park, or the Rocky Steps. Your wish is our command!
